About Shane Flannery

Shane qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and became a partner in a prominent local Family Law practice in 2007. With more than 30 years in the law, he has dealt with thousands of cases, giving him a wealth of both legal knowledge and practical experience.
Having retired from partnership, Shane forged his new role as a consultant solicitor, establishing and overseeing the development of Family Law and Private Client departments in three practices. He now specialises in Private Client work, advising on and drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as planning and managing clients' assets regarding Inheritance Tax and Care costs.
Shane also specialises in assisting families following bereavement, with Probate and Letters of Administration, Inheritance Tax reporting, and efficient estate administration. He is a former President of the Stockport Law Society, a Dementia Champion, and a regular guest speaker for Signpost Stockport for Carers and Manchester Carers Forum.
